Hybrid Systems Australia was awarded a contract by Horizon Power to provide a BESS facility in order to perform ground breaking Distributed Energy trials within the town of Carnarvon.
In collaboration with ARENA, funding to the value of $1.92m was provided for the DER project which included multiple aspects of renewable energy components.
Hybrid Systems Australia is excited to be a part of this new vision and work alongside Horizon Power to help them better understand what is needed moving forward to support renewable energy requirements within remote MicroGrids.
The Carnarvon BESS is now live and powering a small portion of the Horizon Power network, a Nano-Grid for 90 homes, transitioning seamlessly between grid connected and microgrid functionality.
